While the OcuTherm Unit is the entire "mask," OcuTherm Gel is a replaceable component. Users typically replace OcuTherm Gel every 2 to 3 years; snap-on replacement is quick and easy. Our proprietary Gel formula conforms well to the eyelids and maintains its temperature for a long time. OcuTherm Gel is enclosed in a resilient but malleable waterproof polymer casing, which can be wiped cleaned in seconds.
